Our partnership with RUH allows us to provide a wide range of fertility services and treatments, including:

Assessment and Treatment for Ovulation Disorders

Expert-led evaluations and treatments for conditions affecting ovulation.

Tubal Health Checks and Treatments

Thorough assessments and solutions for fallopian tube-related fertility issues.

Support for Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Sensitive support and in-depth investigation for individuals experiencing repeated pregnancy loss.

Male Factor Fertility Solutions

Comprehensive evaluations and interventions to address male subfertility.

At Care Fertility, we’re dedicated to putting you and your partner at the centre of every decision and treatment pathway, offering a caring, consultant-led approach to help you feel empowered and supported.

How to Get Referred

To obtain a referral all patients must visit their GP, and obtain an NHS fertility e-Referral for one patient only (we do not need referrals for both patients) via the ERS referral system.

Who We Can Support

We welcome individuals and couples from various backgrounds, including those who:

· Have been trying to conceive for over one year.

· Are in same-sex relationships and seeking support to start a family.

· Have known fertility conditions that may impact their ability to conceive.

Our referrals and care align with NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines, ensuring you receive the highest standards of fertility care.

Preparing for Your First Appointment

To help make your initial appointment as productive as possible, we recommend arranging some preliminary tests through your GP:

Semen Analysis

An analysis to help identify any male fertility factors, conducted by appointment.

Hormone Testing

Key reproductive hormone levels (FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin, testosterone) to assess overall reproductive health.

Rubella and Chlamydia Testing

Confirming immunity and checking for past infections to rule out potential fertility impacts.

These initial assessments will help us begin planning a treatment pathway that is best suited to you.

Begin Folic Acid Supplementation

For women trying to conceive, a daily supplement of 400mcg of folic acid is recommended to support a healthy pregnancy. Folic acid helps reduce the risk of certain birth defects and is a simple yet important part of preconception care.

Fertility Preservation Options

For those who need to preserve their fertility due to medical treatments such as cancer therapy, we provide fertility preservation services. Referrals for fertility preservation can be made directly by the oncology department at RUH. This service is designed to help individuals safeguard their fertility potential, with the guidance of experienced specialists.

Assisted Conception and NHS Funding

If assisted conception becomes part of your journey, we will seamlessly refer you to our broader Care Fertility network. Options such as IVF, ICSI, and other advanced treatments are available, and our team will assist with NHS funding applications when applicable.

Eligibility for NHS-Funded Treatment

Funding requirements vary by region but often include:

· BMI Below 30 and maternal age under 40.

· Non-smoking status for both partners.

· No children within the current relationship and no spontaneous pregnancies for at least two years.

Please note that NHS-funded services for same-sex couples are limited but may be available in some regions.
